We understood that S4C's 7+ children service needed to stand out from the crowd and yet be attractive to a wide range of kids, so we decided on an abstract but youthful tone. As this was a full re-brand, the design works across a range of platforms including print, merchandise, on-line and on-air.

Parents play a crucial role in deciding what television the 0-7 age group watches. It was therefore crucial that the branding for S4C's younger children service appealed not only to kids but also to their parents. Our series of modular characters work in full colour or in two way colour scheme that reflect the overall S4C re-brand launched earlier in 2007. Theses mascots are designed to be easily transferable across a range of mediums whether that be on-air, on merchandise or even on the double decker bus which is used as a promotional tool as well as a travelling OB unit by the service.

Tribe

BBC Wales/Discovery

New graphics package including titles and maps for the third series of Tribe. Bruce Parry visits and attempts to live the lives of the world remotest tribes.

Bandit

Boomerang/S4C

Bait approached the programme graphics by mixing a modern digital look with the retro analogue feel of video feedback. The title sequence takes an abstract approach shifting between minimal clean lines and fractal patterns. Bandit is a music series presented by Huw Stephens and Huw Evans.

Atom

Cwmni Da/S4C

Atom is a television series for kids, which explores and demonstrates science through experiments and explosions. Bait were commissioned by Cwmni Da to produce a branding and graphics package that including online and on-air material.

A series that delivers a quirky, chaotic look at the Rugby World Cup through the eyes of fans. Our graphics package combined fast paced 2D and 3D elements that match the excessive energy of the fans!

We created the branding for the series, and based the titles around a strong western theme which ran through the series. The titles and programme graphics mixed contemporary type with country and western imagery.
